Tales From The Doghouse
London Dog Tails, London's first free magazine for discerning dog owners, launched
in July 2007 with a certain London author as their columnist and the first instalments of my column Tales from the Doghouse are reproduced exclusively here.
Taking a humorous look at how life changes when you set up home with and train a puppy in the city, I soon realised that stretch marks and breastfeeding aside, four legged parenthood is more similar to having a baby than I could have possibly imagined. The object of my affection (and at times frustration) is Lucy, a Working (but resting) Cocker Spaniel who hails from the Hampshire Wiltshire borders, has bird-chasing in her blood and has now adapted to life as a dog about town. It's a love thing.
